Depression & Anxiety

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counselling, I am able to help you recover motivation, perspective and joy in your life. 

 

Trauma & PTSD

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. I can help you understand these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.  

 

Pregnancy

Women suffering infertility issues, miscarriage or losing a baby too soon after birth.  There are also individuals who face difficult decisions with unplanned pregnancies or needing support whose babies have health issues. Men are also affected by pregnancy issues such as the struggles of supporting their wife or partner through a difficult pregnancy or infertility can have an effect on their relationships.  

Bereavement

Losing someone whether a baby, child or a loved one has a lifelong effect on the bereaved. This can bring feelings such as failure, regret, abandonment, resentment, loss of identity and hardship. Individuals need support for the pain they suffer and help with acceptance and managing life without their loved one.

Online Video Therapy via Zoom

Online sessions are held from the safety of your own home using a secure video service and you will be guided step by step in how to set up. There are many benefits working online. Read my blog 'Is Online Counselling second best to In-Person Counselling?'

Individual Counselling

I provide one to one counselling. The process starts with a 50 minutes initial consultation to help me find out more about you and explain how I work. If you are comfortable to work with me then this will then follow with regular weekly/fortnightly sessions on the same day and same time that is convenient for both of us.  

How the service works

  • Get in touch with us with your enquiry and we aim to respond within 24 hours. 
  • You will be asked to complete an online application and agreement form. 
  • Once your application is reviewed and we accept you for therapy, we will then send you a contract to sign. 
  • An initial consultation will be arranged and sessions agreed.  The length of time for both consultation and sessions are for 50 minutes. Both consultation and sessions are payable before their starting times either by bank transfer or PayPal.  
  • At the start you will be offered up to a year of counselling and you can end your therapy at anytime when you are ready to leave or continue up to the end of 12 months. There will be regular reviews and counselling can continue for longer than a year depending on the problems presented.
